What services does AK Tennis Academy offer?
We offer private, semiprivate, group and clinic lessons near you for junior´s and adults in the Miami Area.
What equipment do I need for tennis lessons?
You will need sneakers, comfortable athletic clothing, and water. We provide tennis balls and other necessary equipment for lessons. If it's your first lesson rackets can also be provided.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that life happens, but we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your lesson, it's hard to fill the time slot, so the full fee will apply. However, if there’s an emergency, let us know, and we’ll handle it with understanding.
What age can children start?
We normally start children at age 3, although readiness depends on their maturity and ability to stay focused. For children this young, we recommend 30-minute private sessions to help them stay engaged throughout the lesson. Contact us with your child's age and experience, and we will help you choose the right starting point.
How often should I take lessons?
Consistency matters more than doing everything at once. One lesson per week is a practical starting point for many beginners and recreational players. Players working toward specific goals may benefit from more frequent lessons, along with practice between sessions. We will recommend a schedule based on your experience, goals, and availability.
Can I book a regular weekly time?
If you would like a regular weekly lesson, let us know your preferred day, time, and coach when you contact us or submit your booking. We will check availability and discuss a recurring schedule with you. Submitting one booking does not automatically reserve future weeks; your coach will confirm the schedule personally.
Can you teach at my home or community court?
Yes! Our Choose Your Location service includes a 1-hour private lesson with Coach Andreu for $150 at your home court or a court of your choice. Enter your preferred location when booking. Please check that the court allows outside coaching and let us know about any reservation or access requirements. Andreu will confirm the location and availability with you before the lesson.
Where are your lessons held? Can you come to my preferred court?
Lessons are normally held in Cutler Bay, Goulds, Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest. We can also come to a preferred court for an extra fee.
